a common mistake I see is people saying "hisoka started killing the spiders cuz he's salty" THAT'S NOT IT hisoka is a VIGLANTY who despite not seeming like it is actually on the good guys' side. it has been demonstrated many times, like for example when he let leoreo and kurapika go when they impressed him with their spirit, not letting gon & killua die by entering the 100th floor before learning nen, and going back on the thought of killing killua after he expressed that alluka is family and will not leave her behind. hisoka was always coming for the spiders, whether it was for the thrill of the fight or tp parish the world of their evil, he just wanted to come for the boss first since he's the strongest
